Not sure what to say?

I was so sorry to hear Mr. Pope had passed away. During the 80's I loved to shop at Pope's. Allen and the staff have been wonderful gentleman to work with. I have since moved to Dallas and loved to stop by and say hello. I will never forget running in to Mrs. Pope and one of her daughters at the Dallas Galleria. After we said hello they insisted on taking me to eat merely because I was from Shreveport/Bossier.

Denise and Renee, I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out last night. Your father was the epitome of a true Southern gentleman. He was always so kind hearted, as was your mother, and I know you both miss them terribly. Prayers for strength.

Renee I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. He was such a very nice man and was so very kind to everyone. I know you will miss him dearly. Just remember, Life is a preciou Gift, once shared, it remains in our hearts for ever. Prayers for you during this difficult times.

Just wanted to say I am sorry for your lost and I will never forget all of the good times we had and how much I lived at your house. I was very fond of your mom and dad. Do not know if you know this or not but Butch and I lost our oldest daughter in May. I would love to see you or talk to you and I will never forget all of the good memories. Please contact me on Facebook or either by phone. We are in the book.

One of finest men I have ever known. He hired me when I wasnt worth the salary he paid me. He was always fair and bent over backwards for everyone who worked for Popes. My condolences to Denise and Renee.

It was the summer of 1964 in Bossier City that we bought our first house - across the street from the Popes on Rosedale. Four years later we bought their house across the street when they moved to a new house. We moved to Baton Rouge in 1975. Every time we have returned to visit Bossier City, a visit to Pope's has always been first on our agenda, and Wade was always his gracious self. We will miss him very much. May God be with you - Denise and Renee and your families - we love you.
