THOMPSON, Wade R.Everyone, it seems, in the Sacramento legal community, has a "Wade story." He was one of the most respected and successful trial lawyers of his time. Even opponents looked forward to cases with him -- though he would more often than not extract record verdicts or settlements from...

Not sure what to say?

Just yesterday I was remembering Wades´ and my Uncle Lawrence and today I receive this anniversary reminder of Wade. May they continue to rest in peace, now and evermore. My prayers, thoughts and best wishes are with each of Wades´s families today and always.

I am Wade's cousin Lawrence. I was just cleaning out old email messages and came across this obituary and tribute to Wade. How interesting that today is the anniversary of his passing. I didn't know Wade other than occasionally hearing about his exploits and successes of which there were many. I regret that we lived so far apart because I suspect we might've had a number of things in common. My thoughts and prayers are with Wade's families. God bless each and all of you.

Wade was my uncle and I miss his humor, wisdom, and support. He was such a memorable character and he lived life boldly and in full color, leaving quite an impression on the world. Remembering him today.

Vince,
Your dad sounds like an extraordinary dad, role model and friend. I'm glad you got to spend some time at the ranch this summer. Now we know where you got your charisma. Warm thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To all of Wade's children I say, "you have my deepest sympathy." As a member of Encina High School's first graduating classes, we characters of the 1960s enjoyed ourselves in those carefree days. Wade was an original, and his genes will live on forever. Sincerely, Katie Anderson '63

Wade was always wonderful to me. I'll remember most his wicked sense of humor, sharp wit, and deep passion with which he loved his family. Greg and I send our sympathy and love to all the members of the Thompson family.

I knew Wade in high school...he was the boyfriend and later husband of my good friend Joan. I knew then that he would do amazing things with his life and make many people laugh like he made me laugh. I really enjoyed reading about Wade and his adventures. I wish I knew him later in life...I had the pleasure of meeting Vince and his family last year. My heartfelt sympathy goes to all Wade's family on the sad occasion of his passing. Love, Cathi

Vince, Brooke, and Shannon,

I am very saddened to hear about the loss of your dad. He always made me feel like part of your family.
Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
