Funeral for Wade Whitlock Jr., 79, of Trinity will be Friday, May 25, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Dewayne Woodall officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Whitlock, who died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, was born September 16, 1932, in Lawrence County to Wade Whitlock and Ona Mae Morgan Whitlock. Wade Whitlock Jr. began his career in law enforcement in the 1960s. He worked for the Alabama State Troopers, the City of Moulton and retired from the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department. He loved to farm and hunt. He loved his family very much. He was preceded in death by one son, Clifford Whitlock; two brothers, Thomas Whitlock and James "Bunk" Whitlock; and one sister, Pauline Woodall.

Survivors include one son, Steve Whitlock; one daughter, Becky Oliver (Buddy); two brothers, Wayne Whitlock and Bobby Whitlock; one sister, Sue Williams; five grandchildren, Marcus Whitlock (Kim), Keith Whitlock (Megan), Justin Oliver (Jen), Sherry Whitlock and Kim Kerby (Mike); and six great-grandchildren, Amber and Katie Whitlock, Tyler and Tayler Alexander and Heather and Ashley Kerby.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Whitlock, Justin Oliver, Keith Whitlock, Tyler Alexander and Tayler Alexander.
