I meet him when I was just a little boy. My best friend is his son Deuce. It wasn't until late that I realized how much he taught me of the life I live today. Because of this and much more it is my honor and with the up most respect to say that if it weren't for him I would not be the man I am today. He might as well have been my dad. When we were involved in youth baseball, Wade was always one of my favorite umpires. He called a fair game, he was good to the kids, and he made it fun, as it should be. A classy guy with a great sense of humor. He'll be missed.

I never called him by his given name, only "Wood-Eye", He was a true friend as was the entire family. I will cherish my memories, the fun and laughter we shared over the years.
