Not sure what to say?

Walker Calhoun lives in every breath these mountains breathe. Forever.

Still think of him and all he taught me. Will be forever grateful for his wisdom, humor & kindness.

Some of the best times in my life were spent around Edohi's table. I'll never forget the night he named me after singing the theme song to "Mr. Ed".
Ed "Talking Horse" Orton

I was so sorry to hear this news. I have had surgery and trying to recovery from this. I am only now getting to post. My sympathy goes out to the family and friends of such a beautiful, wise and traditional man. He will be missed by so many.

The most memorable day of my life was the day I met and talked with Walker Calhoun. We sat by Mill Creek in Old Fort on the grounds of Mountain Gateway Museum. I had so many questions, but being in his presence was so awe inspiring that I couldn't think of them. Somehow, I swear, he answered them all without speaking a word. I will never forget him.
-Anne Swann (Mountain Gateway Museum, Old Fort, NC)

We mourn in our loss but rejoice with Walker who has entered the more immediate presence of Creator. Walker Calhoun, you are loved and will be missed. Until we are together again…
