Wallace Clayton Gilbert

I am deeply saddened at the passing of Coach Wally Gilbert. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the entire Gilbert family for their loss. Coach Gilbert is remembered by me as a man of character, wisdom and as an American Patriot. In his roles as a Marine Officer, teacher and athletic coach, his confident manner of leadership, coaching and mentoring had an immeasurable positive influence on the success in life achievements of many young men and women, as well as fellow Marines and Sailors....

We continue to keep our prayers for the family of Coach Gilbert during this time in their lives and in the celebration of Coach Gilbert life ! Coach was such an inspiration and had so much influence on so many people especially while he was coaching and touching many people lives. His influence as a Coach and mentor influence me into teaching and Coaching for 17 years before becoming a Pastor for 34 years!

Coach Gilbert was an amazing man. I remember him from high school. He was a mentor to many students.
