Not sure what to say?

Having grown up around the newspaper business all my life I became well aquainted with Wally when going to The Tribune with my Dad. Wally was always friendly and kind to me which is how I will always remember him. My condolences to the Hoffman family.

Shirley,

We are very sorry to hear about your loss. We didn't know Wally too well but we could tell that you both loved each other a great deal. Thank you for being kind to us as neighbors and making us feel welcome. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Much love,

Shirley, my sympathy to you and your family. It has been nearly 30 years since I have seen you or Wally, but he was my friend and mentor for a memorable 20 years before that. In all the world, there will never be another W. Downhill Hoffman.

Shirley I was sorry to hear about Wally. I send you my heart felt sympothy & will be thinking of you. Dianna just called me after seeing the notice in the paper. If I had known sooner I would have been there to support you. You will be in my heart while you adjust to this new life. I know you & Wally had a good life & those memories will help you threw this. Take one day at a time. Hugs, Love & prayers Frances Johnson

Shirley and family, we are saddened to hear that Wally has past away. We have great memories of the two of you.

Wally was a good friend and great Utah Westerner. We made many field trips together. He was fun to be around and will be missed by all who knew him.
