Not sure what to say?

Dear Aunt Joyce I was very sad to hear that Uncle Wallace had passed away. I remember our visits to your home in Milngavie before you went to the USA. They were great fun and I was always impressed by Uncle Wallace's humour and intelligence. He will be missed. All the best.

I am an old friend of Mr. MacLeans son Rod MacLean. I have lost touch with him long ago. Can you forward this message to him for me? My name is Berta Kim, my email address is [email protected]. Thank you so very much. Berta Kim

Wallace was my father-in-law and over the years we built a strong connection with each other. I felt we could often communicate with just a glance between the two of us.

What stands out for me in my memories of Wallace was his love of three things: family, golf and single malt Scotch. Golf was one of the first ways that we could relate to each other and it provided us many hours of enjoyment together. One of my favorite golf memories was caddying for Wallace at the five hole...

What a shock it was tonight to hear about Uncle Wallace. We are all saddened by the news and have been thinking about him, Aunt Joyce and Rod & Alison (and their families) ever since. Uncle Wallace was quite simply one of the nicest, kindest and warmest people I have ever known. Our visit from Scotland was 10 years ago and yet we all remember the welcome and kindness we received from the Maclean family as if it was yesterday. Uncle Wallace's wonderful sense of humour still lives with my...

Joyce, every time I was around Wallace, it was such fun even when we were sitting with Cathie when Seaton was having his operation and the staff at the hospital moved us out of the waiting room into a seperate area - I believe it was because we were too rowdy! Wallace kept us all laughing then and every other time I was around him. He will be missed. A very special man. My sympathies on your loss, Joyce.

To all of the MacLean Clan,
I am truly sadden by the news of the passing of one of the finest men I have ever met. I have known Wallace since they came here form Scotland. I grew up with Rod (my best friend) and know what a great Dad he had. We were both very fortunate to have great parents.
Love you all, Jay Murray
