Not sure what to say?

papa, I just wanted to say thank you for being an amazing grandfather and thank you for being there as a grandfather and taking the time to love and understand me even if I was deaf.

thank you for willing to take me on fishing trips out to the lake even if we would sit for a hour and catch nothing but seaweed or branches

and lastly, thank you for possibly making me a great baseball player by endlessly tossing all of these wiffle balls and willing to retrive them from the other...

I recall how Mr Mercier made our CYC variety shows so much fun at Lake View and in the basement of St Margaret Mary's Church (way back when)... He and "Bones" are warmly remembered often in conversations with my own children even now. They will both be in our family Rosary intentions from here on. GOD bless you Mr Mercier, and may our Merciful Mother guide you to your rest.

Wal, In your time here on this earth, you have touched a great many people and have served as a mentor, teacher and friend to all. You have set an example to all of us to follow, as a Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great Grand Father. You have certainly taught me a lot about life and I will be forever grateful. I am proud to say I knew Ye! May you rest in peace and God Bless!

Walter
