Not sure what to say?

I worked for Wally at KTBC in the early 70s while attending U.T. He was a class act, probably the best boss I ever had. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family.

Wally, dear Wally... one of my first and finest colleagues at TV 7. His humor, delight in welcoming strangers to local TV and more than outstanding grace, trust and friendship well be remembered forever.

Wally Prior, Tex Robertson, two names I grew up knowing as a young swimmer in the '50's. I first met Wally about 1958 in a swim meet in the old downstairs YWCA pool. Always friendly over the years. As a student at UT, he would always announce a "Slippery Rock" score and the home crowd would cheer. Your a good man Wally. RIP.

My first encounter with Wally was in mid 80s at KTBC. I will never forget his smile and that booming voice on the telephone. Thanks, Wally, for the great memories.

Wally was everything said here. He was also a ferocious competitor in the pool and darn near drowned me teaching us to play water polo after an Austin Aquatic Club workout. My sister Claire and I were fortunate to be included in the original ACC team which Wally formed at Deep Eddy pool. Wally gave us all opportunities we would not have had otherwise and made it fun while we were learning.

I joined the Aquatic Club the year it formed and benefitted immensely from the kindness, encouragement, and smiling presence of Wally, Marc Yancy, and the other team members. Thanks, Wally. You changed my life.

I had the privilege of working with Wally for seven years at Make-A-Wish Foundation. He was such a delight, and made a sometimes difficult job a real joy. He will definitely be missed! My prayers are with the Pryor family.

I always enjoyed the games when you announced them whether we won or lost. To his family, thank you for sharing him with the rest of us.

I was in the Longhorn Band for 68-72 and always liked to ride the bus that Wally was on. He had great stories and was always so friendly. He will be missed but we know that The Eyes of Texas will always be upon him and his memory.
