Obituary

Wallis 'Wally' R. Sanford, 81, of Duluth, passed away on Feb. 3, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospice. His parents were Rosella and Wallace Sanford. Wally served in the Marine Corp. during World War II and was a member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 56 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy Hanson. He is survived by his children, Shari (Tracy) Williams, Memphis, Tenn., Wally Sanford, Stockton, Calif., Debbie (Hans) Sobanja, Fairbanks, Alaska, Steve Sanford, Minneapolis, Michelle Sanford, Duluth; three grandchildren, Brad, Jada and Cody; great-grandson, Bradley; former wife, Marilyn Bero; brother, William 'Bill' Sanford; many nieces and nephews; and his coffee club at the Twig Bakery. Wally and his sense of humor will be greatly missed by all. MEMORIAL SERVICE:10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 8, 2008 in Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth.
