Sue and I had many wonderful times with Wally and Valrie during our twenty years in Abilene and at the Highland Church. I got to work with Wally during my first years with Herald of Truth Radio and Television. I was an unofficial "chaplain" to Wally's first football teams as ACU's head football coach. No one was a more effective encourager of others than Wally.
