Wally Dallenbach Sr.

condolences to the family and his cousin Walt. want people to know Wally built a rear engined "Buick powered" dragster in 57-58 that he raced in the Daytona area' I believe Spruce Creek. a time when NASCAR explored getting involved in drag racing. resembled more Mickey Thompson then Don Garlit's.

I grew up with Wally who was my neighbor and a great person. I always looked up to him as my idol. He could be mischievous and one day he gave my aunt a ride in his Buick which was wired in the back seat. She sat in the back and after a short distance was "whooped" We all laughed but my aunt not so much.
