Send Flowers

Walter Matuza, 39, always was gifted with technology. From a young age, he became interested in computers. He studied photography in college and later went to work in telecommunications for Carr Futures.

A husband and father of three, Matuza loved his job at Carr, said his mother, Angela Sessa. "Isn't it a wonderful thing to love what you're doing," she said.

He was at work on the 92nd floor of the World Trade Center when it was attacked.

AUGUST 2019

I do not know Walter. I have never met him. However, I was on vacation this summer in NYC and went to visit ground zero. I took this picture. The flower made it stand out and I cant help but think his family would want to know that he is not forgotten. Just thought that I would share. God Bless you all.

Thinking of you

RIP Walt

Such a Sad Day. I am always praying for your family and the hundreds of other families who lost loved ones on this Horrific day. RIP Walter Forever and Always

I heard Walter's name read on the 15th anniversary ceremony. I instantly remembered a quiet, respectful, bright, happy little boy who sat in my first grade classroom at South Bay Elementary School in West Babylon. All those years ago I knew that he would do well in life. I am so saddened to know that it ended too soon. My condolences to the family.

Remembering him brings a smile to my heart.
