Words cannot express our profound sadness and shock when we heard about Walter from Nancy. We just adored that man, he was so special. His smile and enthusiasm about life and art were contagious He was a jewel, one in a million, we loved the way he cared about his family, he was always so thoughtful. How fortunate we were to have known him for so many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

Dear Rena
I was so sad to hear about Dr Abelmann's passing. I remember him so fondly from my childhood when I would come to visit Nancy. He always seemed so gentle and kind and thoughtful. I think maybe he influenced my decision to become a physician.
I had just received a lovely note from Nancy with a photo of her children and was planning to respond.
Jean and I are thinking of you during this difficult time.
