Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home - Baton Rouge Obituary

Walter was born on December 22, 1947 and passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Walter was a resident of Louisiana at the time of passing. Subsequent to his military service, he entered the Paul M. Hebert Law Center where he earned a Juris Doctor degree and entered private practice in his hometown of Jennings and was later elected to the office of District Attorney, in which office he served for one term of six years. He was an Eagle Scout, the highest level of achievement in the Boy Scouts, and was always very proud of his service to his Country in the United States Army where he achieved the rank of Captain. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 11:00 am until funeral service at 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Sorry that my wandering didn't allow me to become closer. I thoroughly enjoyed the brief encounters I had with Greg. We'll definitely miss you. Our condolences to Judi and all of the Arnette clan.

So sorry to hear about coach. I was in anesthesia school with Greg Could not hav made it thru Chemistry without Greg , so we named him coach. Lord bless his family wrap his family up let them know Jesus is there for them . Amen Jeff hutson crna graham Texas
