I knew Walter for over 30 years. I first met him at a Sunday School class at Christ the Redeemer Episcopal Church in Montgomery around 1990. During the class, I heard a voice behind me offering deep, meaningful, theological statements - I thought those words must be coming from a seasoned visiting preacher. It turned out to be Bunky. My grandfather was like a dad to me. Took me fishing. Took me to the beach. Took me hunting. Had me over at his house all the time. He was just a great man.

Your father was so loved by our family. He will truly be missed and thought of often ,as he was such a kind man and truly a gentleman. Walter has been such a part of the lives of all of the Robisons. I still remember looking up at my father's funeral and seeing his face and finding such comfort in that. How I wish that I could be there with your for his funeral. I will be there in my heart.
My family and I have such wonderful memories of visiting with Walter in Montgomery and at the beach and we will miss him very, very much.
