Not sure what to say?

I was with Carol on the night she met Walter. I think we were about 16 years old. Walter was a great guy. A perfect match for my best friend Carol. I will never forget him. Please watch over your family Walter. Rest in peace. Until we meet again.

Remembering Walter on the 20th anniversary of 9/11....

I started at my new job at Fiduciary Trust Company in 1998 right before Christmas. The Christmas party was a week later, and I went, feeling nervous since I didn't know anyone. As expected, it was tough being the new guy in an environment where everyone knew each other, and i was kind of walking around alone. The one person who noticed that I was uncomfortable was Wally. As I pause each day to remember the friends and family of these heroes, I sometimes forget about the co-workers who survived and have to live with these horrible memories. My prayers go out for all of you. We will indeed never forget. Much love from Texas

For a better life

I walked a mile for you (mile #125) on 1/6/13 as a dedication to your life.

To The Family,
May the God of all comfort give you the comfort that you need concerning the horrific day of 9/11. I extend my condolences to you in the loss of your loved one, Mr. Walter Baran.
Sincerely,
Mr. Terry of NC

Walter worked in the custody department on the 90th floor. I remember him and all the 20 others who did not come out from that area. Including 8 from my area I am just still completely devasted. I was young in my early twenties and I am still young in my early thirties. There are so many names that goes through my mind daily Jimmy, Paul, Walter, Brian, Pat, Rita, Alyane, Sherry, Mike, Chris, and so many others it just overwhelming this is not something you get over or that the survivors...

We hold you in our hearts.
