Walter James Barnes

I worked events management at The Lakes and had the pleasure of serving Walt on numerous occasions. He always made time to personally greet staff as if they were part of his circle of friends. And, as a tennis player I was able to share the court with him from time to time as well. His favorite phrase while playing doubles? `Yours´!!:-)) I was shocked and saddened to learn of his untimely passing, and wish his family comfort and hugs from a distance. Peace be with you, Walt

Volunteered at BARBARA Sinatra also and admired Walts involvement in tutoring the kids with their homework. Sorry for your family and the communities loss.

I played tennis with Walter off and on at the Lakes for over a decade as a guest from Sun City Shadow Hills. Because my name is John 'Jamie' Barnes, I sometimes got emails from him meant for his son. Walter read my novels and was responsible for a decent Lakes readership that I owe to him. We spent a lot of time talking about our lives. I am stunned by his death and will miss him greatly ....John 'Jamie' Barnes
