Not sure what to say?

Walter and I went to HHS together 67-68. Knew each other but werent close. 40 years later I am playing a concert at Workplay in Birmingham. It was a folk song concert so a bit somber. There had been polite applause up to this point. I took a bass solo and played okay, nothing earth-shattering. At the end of my solo Waddy stands up in the middle of everybody and screams yay Roy!!! I hadnt seen him since college but I knew immediately who it was. Who else would do that?! I have played for 48...

I'm so sorry for your loss.

We are so sorry to hear this sad news. My daughter went to school with Walter's son Sam. They lived in our neighborhood for years. So sorry and condolences to family.

My deepest sympathy for his family and friends. Walter loved the City of Homewood. He gave himself to the advancement and betterment of the Recreational Sports and Parks. I thank him for his many contributions and his love for his neighbors and fellow citizens. May Walter Rest In Peace...

He was always so helpful and a burst of energy when I shopped at Leaf and Petal. Sending prayers to his family.

To the Berry family please accept our heartfelt sympathies. Walter was a great guy I had the pleasure of serving on the Homewood Youth baseball board with him. He always brought a lot of energy to all his endeavors. I will miss his smiling face at Leaf & Petal. God is shining his light on Walter and I am lifted by the thought of his reunion with Sam. May God comfort you all in this time of loss.

Walter was a GREAT Friend to Me when I was in college. He was a great musician and artist. Always smiling and playing jokes. He is a one of MY BEST and FAVORITE memories. He will be missed! Fly High My Good Friend Walter!

Im so happy I Joined the L&P Family. Thats what it is and Walter was our master gardener who would share his knowledge with anyone who asked him a question. It was also a friend whom you could confide in and he genuinely cared. You will certainly be missed by everyone, your personality, and light you would bring into the store each day.

May the family and friends find peace and comfort in God's word and in each other for the loss of your dear love one now and in the days ahead, sorry for your loss.
