I never knew Walter because my family had to move from Skaneateles before Walter IV was born. I was his sister's Anne Marie's very best friend when we were little. Our back yards connected. I remember Anne Marie sending me a picture of Walter after he was born and all so very proud to have a little brother. I'm so sorry about your loss. I happen to be in search of Anne Marie and came upon this through Google. I never knew Walter attended Cornell. I work in Ithaca. What a beautiful University.

Walt really did touch everyone he met. I remember him as one of the older boys I looked up to when I joined the Troop 61. Ben Chernoff, Scott Lootens, Andy Hadley, Chip Hahn, Christian Borchert, and Walt. I am greatly saddened to hear of his passing and offer my deepest condolences to his family. I only wish that we all might touch as many lives in a full lifetime as Walt did in his short time.
