I had the honor to meet Walter when I was a police explorer at Dallas PD’s NW Station. Walter quickly became my mentor and my hero. He shared stories of his service in the US Army, knowledge of police work and his life experiences, all which helped mould me into a man and a Dallas Police Officer. Thank you Walter for your guidance and friendship over the years. The world lost a great man, consummate beat cop and a true hero with Walter’s passing.
