Not sure what to say?

Walt was a huge asset to our team. When he retired we lost him as a teammate but still had him as our friend. Now we´ve lost our friend. We all got to speak with him recently and that helps take away some of the sting. We will hold tight to the decades of memories he gave us and we will see him again someday.

#45 on the 1972 St. Thomas More City Championship team

Great childhood friend. So many memories from Thomas More and the neighborhood. Peace and love to the Compernolle family.

Wally catching the winning pass from Brent collins to beat Phillip and James. Classic!

Please accept my deepest condolences. May the God of comfort bring peace to your hearts and minds during this difficult time

Wow. This is tough. I haven´t seen Wally recently, but always considered him a friend. Rest in peace.

Deepest condolence to the whole Compernolle family. Seems like yesterday we were playing basketball in your driveway, hide & seek in the neighborhood, & football & baseball on the corner. Great memories of Wally & the Compernolle family. May he rest in peace!
