COTTRELL, Walter Moncure, 63, of Doswell, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 25, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Vincent Cottrell Sr. and Mildred Frances Martin Cottrell; and sisters, Judy and Marie. He is survived by those who love and will miss him, sisters, Teresa, Debra and Barbara; brother, Benny; sons, Monte, Chris and Little Walter; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 27, and Wednesday, April 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery.

I am his cousin on his mother's side. Walter was a good person. Every time we saw each other we would always share a hug. The last time I saw him was when Janie died. To Monty and Chris my thoughts and prayers are with you. To his sisters God bless you all.
