Not sure what to say?

After all these years, Mr Cramer is alive and well in my memory, just as vibrant as he was each day in band and on Saturdays for orchestra, always smiling and encouraging but setting high standards. Everyone he touched was better for it.

I still think of Mr. Cramer quite frequently and how important he was in my own life as I am still a musician full time in Frankenmuth at 75 years old! Till me meet again......

CHS 69-73, French Horn, Band, Orchestra, Bay Youth Symphony, Band Bounce and more; Mr. Cramer gave me music, laughter and respect. He taught me how to enjoy life. I would not be the same person today without his influence. I am saddened by his passing and eternally grateful for having known him.

Dear Lorraine,
The service at Trinity Episcopal was a moving tribute and celebration of the life of your husband, Wally Cramer. Thank you for allowing us to say one final goodbye to a great teacher and dear friend.
As one of my former classmates recently said, "Mr. Cramer is still working his special kind of magic - in this instance - reuniting old friends". Over the years many classmates lost touch with each other due to a variety of reasons. This guest book provided the means for once...

I still to this day remember all the wonderful stories he used to share about his life with myself and my brother. We used to help in his garden with him and my grandmother every time we visited. On Christmas we would all get together and have such a joyous time. I remember giving him his very first cd player, it took him so long to relize what it was but never took the head phones off all night. He is the reason I can articulate - lips teeth, tip of the tounge that was what he taught us...

They say the way to achieve immortality is to be a teacher.
Even though I have played with the greatest conductors in the world I still have quoted to my students "my old band director" many times.
My condolences to the Cramer family and all of Wally's friends.

I appreciate the support and encouragement Walter Cramer provided strings. While marching bands were unquestioningly popular, Mr. Cramer stood behind the importance and need for orchestras as well - and that meant a lot to those of us who loved those instruments and that music. He taught with respect, enthusiasm, and joy, and so we came away from those four years of high school better people as well as better players. I have lessons and memories from him that I will always carry with me. ...
