Walter DeVore

I am soory for your loss of a wonderful and personable man. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I also had the pleasure of being a classmate of Ben. All of the neighborhood would stop in at the Malt shop on Friday for our regular icecream cone or sunda. It was the best place for us to hang out and enjoy Walt's storries. I know he will be greatly missed.

When I was a boy, my family lived above your grandfathers ice cream store and I made it a habit of visiting him as often as I could. That was back in the early 1950's. He always had a smile and I always remembered his ice cream store.

Walter DeVore was one of best men I have ever had the privilege to know. He and Jean have been my friends and neighbors for 32 years. They were always very kind to my children as they grew up. always buying my daughter Chistmas presents. Walter was excellent with the flowers and gardening. I know Jean and Walter are together now in Heaven and Heavens flowers will be even more beautiful. Your friend Harry. God Bless You Walter

Although I never met your Grandfather, I can now just see from his picture where you get the twinkle in your eye and your joy for life. It just seems to radiate from his picture as it does from you! I'm sure he was so proud to call you his granddaughter. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
