Not sure what to say?

I have a baseball that was signed by Walter ... he gave it to my Dad, who met him at a restaurant in Andover, Mass called Fieldstone’s. My dad worked there then (1965 ?) so I am sure Walter had come in to eat.

Dad spoke well of him ...

I wasn’t sure if anyone the family would be interested in the ball as a token of my appreciation and admiration of Walter.

I had the pleasure of seeing him play with the Sacramento Solons, around 1949 or 1950. Another member of the team at that time was Joe Marty.

Condolences to family and family.

I never did get to see him play but he has left behind a memorable career. My condolences. May fond memories fill the minds and hearts of family, friends, and fans who knew and saw him. WC Florida

From the obit I can see what a wonderful father he must have been. I have no idea why...
