Not sure what to say?

Just found out about Prof Dr. Duncan Walter Obituary after visiting UTD, I worked under him in the computation and imaging laboratory for few months. He was an amazing professor, he guided me so well, helped me learn and motivate me. I am so grateful to him, he is one of the main reasons for me to be working successfully in Qualcomm today. I was hoping to meet him, but felt sad to here about his obituary. I wish his family good health, happiness and lots of love

I remember when we were all very new at TI and all had very new babies....together with them splashing about at Bill Frensley's.....Walter was a wonderful person to know...always so nice...I now see it was his Virginia upbringing!! We were in CRL then UTD .....it was a good thing to know Walter Duncan!!..a good man.

Walter wrote to me a few years ago because he thought it was funny to run across another person with almost the same name and a PhD in chemistry (and my mom is named Emily!). He seemed like an intelligent, kind, funny man.

I knew Walt Duncan when he was an undergraduate at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA. He did undergraduate research for Dr. John G. Mason and Walt introduced me to Dr. Mason's lab when I began my Ph.D. research in that lab. Walt showed me how to operate all the instrumentation used in electrochemistry that Dr. Mason used with his research students. Walt was kind, gentle and a good teacher. I lost track of him when he began his chemistry graduate work at North Carolina State University in...

I am so sad to learn of Walter's passing a year and half ago. We were close colleagues in the 80s as TI and Midac were working on silicon photoluminescence spectrometers, and he and I stayed in touch intermittently over the years since. I reached out after seeing the tornado swath right over the Eudora Dr. home location I remember visiting... but phone numbers were old and email addresses obsolete. I hope Kristin sees this message and feels my hug. I am very sad. Walter was a great human...
