I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Doug was a wonderful man and a friend of mine. I hold dearly the memories of the good times that you, Doug, Christine and I had at the many Gannett Fleming functions that we attended. He and I were always betting on something. He had so many progressive ideas that we discussed as newly appointed stock holders with GF. Take good care of yourself.

As a young volunteer planner with no engineering background, I often relied on Doug's insights and his patient explanation of infrastructure and environmental issues. The community surely benefited from his knowledge and experience. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I came to know Doug when I joined Gannett Fleming as a young engineer in the mid 1990's. During that time, I enjoyed many insightful conversations with Doug about engineering and the consulting field. Because of his passion for engineering, he was a big inspiration to me. I will miss him!
