I miss Walter. We have a long but intermittent history. We "lost contact" about 20 years ago, but saw each other at the Montclair State reunion in 2018. I hoped this renewed our contact. Walter was a beloved friend to everyone at the St Gerard Feasts. He made each feast special by his warm embrace , welcoming smile and generous heart which overflowed with kindness. He truly embraced the loving spirit of the National Shrine of St Gerard at St Lucy´s Church . He shared his joyful spirit as he happily ushered you towards the saint, to feel the true presence of St Gerard an intercession to our Lord. O M G I was shocked as I read this am Sunday 12/18/2022 7:00am of Walter's passing May he Soar with the Angels ...and REST IN ETERNAL PEACE .... Dennis and all his family and friend Mine and the entire SIRCHIO Families DEEPEST CONDOLENCES..... we lost a lifelong friend , yes life gets in the way but at least once a year during the St Gerard Fieast I would search our both Walter and Dennis to say hello Lifelong friends and teammates priceless we did not miss a beat those few moments...
