I'm so sorry. What a shock. I loved talking to Walter about beagles and ice cream. After adopting Barnie, he kept in constant contact with Beagle Rescue about Barnie's new life. That means so much to the foster families.

I just heard recently about Walter's passing and was stunned. Walter and Nancy came as outsiders to Annapolis and immediately became local fixtures with their wonderful ice cream shop. The shop not only had the best ice cream in the world, but it had character with the extra touches (art spoons and penguin window displays) as well as Nancy and Walter. Both were always around working hard making ice cream and guiding their many busy, polite, young employees. I remember Walter rolling...

I am so, sincerely sorry to hear about Walter! I recently visited the store this past weekend only to find out it was sold 4 month ago. I even walked by the house debating on stopping by and saying hi. I had no idea of this tragedy until just 30 minutes ago when I received a message with the article attached. Walter was an amazing man and a great boss. Annapolis Ice Cream was what it was because you two poured your heart and souls into that place and made it what it is today. I...
