Walter Gilbert

Attended Cool Springs HS with Walter. He was 2 grades ahead of me, but at CSHS it was like one big class. I remember when Walter set the NC High School record in Track for the 100-yard dash. Walter ran it in 9.8 seconds. I don`t believe anyone has beat his record other than tying it... I remember Walter being a very humble person and knew no one that didn`t like Walter.
