Not sure what to say?

Great man, I'm better to have known him. My heart goes out to Gayle, Amy and Nik and all who knew him .... he will be missed.

I worked with Walter many years ago at Zimmerman’s. He was always a great fellow employee as well as a friend well worth having. I’ve often remembered those days in the showroom with fondness - the joking & frivolity when no customers were around, Sulo Arola singing his ditties, Dave Wilkening & John Zimmerman trying to “ignore” it all (but sometimes joining in). So sorry for your loss, Gayle.

My deepest sympathy to Wally's wife Gayle, a childhood friend. I had the pleasure of meeting Wally at the funeral home in Dakota when my cousin passed. A lovely man. May he rest in peace.

You our in our thoughts and prayers.
Mike Brenda Dash and family Lena, Il

Wally was a truly genuine person. It didn't matter how long it had been since you had talked with him. He always treated you like it was only just yesterday. Danny and I want to tell you Gayle, and family, how very sorry we are for your loss. We loved him ❤

Wally was our best man and my friend since childhood. My strongest memories are of all the time we spent together in ORPR camp at Lost Lake. He was the head of the buys camp and I was his assistant one year. A formative time and a great pal. He and I were present when we laid his brother Victor to rest. I am terribly sad to now help lay him to rest. Our families will always be together in the Rock City cemetery.

Wally always greeted his patrons with a huge smile and ongoing conversation at Wally G’s!! Great times were had!! Sincere sympathy to Gayle and all of the family.

My deepest condolences to you Gayle and to the rest of the family. Wally was such a Sweetheart so many memories ❤❤
