Mr Hatton introduced me to all the classical film genres in `78/`79. That began my love affair w film that continues to this day. I can´t thank you enough. After i graduated you invited me to your home twice for lunch w your family. I looked at you as the male role model I unfortunately missed. Your honesty, generosity, intelligence and warmth will remain with me forever. Thank you.!

Mr. Hatton made a huge contribution to my life. I was a weird kid who only excelled at loving film. His beliefe in me inspired my career in motion pictures and I will never forget him. Thank you Mr. Hatton. You have effected my life in ways you will never know. Thank you for believing in me.

Mr. Hatton was also one of my favorite teachers at Madison Township High School in the '60s, introducing me and a close friend to the adventures and fun of skepticism, especially through one of my favorite books, Catch 22 by Joseph Heller.
I wish I had made an effort to keep in touch.

Mr. Hatton was also my English teacher way back in the 60s. He was the most memorable teacher I EVER had and had a great influence on me then and going forward. I'll never forget his reading Shakespeare's plays and acting out every one of the parts. RIP

Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
Mr Hatton was one of two high school teachers who changed my life. He showed me adults could be authority figures AND funny. He helped me appreciate film and writing. He encouraged his students and got the best out of them. I am forever grateful.

Walter Hatton was my father's baby brother. He was the fun and funny one in a staid English family. He was big in personality, talent and laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
