My sincere condolences to Rita and the family of Commissioner Helmick. I was privileged to work as his assistant when he served as Agriculture Commissioner. He worked hard and had many innovative ideas to improve agriculture in West Virginia. He always had a smile and a joke to share with you. He and Rita made a great team and I consider them dear friends.

Truly a great man. I remember that he was my friend, Wanda Casto´s "first senator" when she started her new job at the Capitol. They were close friends as well as dedicated to being good at their jobs!
