Not sure what to say?

Jane & Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Walters passing. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jane, Ally & the family,
I am so very sad for your loss. I always enjoyed seeing Ally's dad when we were growing up and always thought so highly of him. Such a loving and peaceful man...not enough like him in this world.

His loss will no doubt be felt by many. He leaves a great legacy of service and humility. My love & prayers are with you all.

Jane & family,
I worked with Walter in the South Central Bell PR department in B'ham in the late 70's/early 80's. I remember him as such a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humor. May God comfort you in your loss.

Jane, I'm sure you may not remember me, but Walter hired me in South Central Bell's PR dept. in 1978 and helped me get started on the career path I've had since. For that I will always remember Walter and be in his gratitude. I left BellSouth in 1994 but always remember my formative years working for Tom Floyd and Walter in "downtown" Birmingham. He was a special person and I know you will miss him. Michael (Mick) Chlon Atlanta, Ga.

When I came to work for what was then Southern Bell in 1966, Walter was the first person I met other than the ones who hired me. We were the two managers in the Alabama PR office (the ones who did all the work) for five years, and then were reunited at Headquarters. For all the 18 years I spent in Birmingham, Walter was close by, and was a very good friend. Paul said the four Christian virtues should be humility, gentleness, patience, and love. That was Walter. Though we've not been...

Jane and family. We will keep you in our prayers. So sorry for Walter's passing.

Steve & Lynne Fraas, BellSouth/retired

When I went to work for South Central Bell after graduating from college in 1969, Walter was my first boss. Actually, "boss" was not the correct term for Walter because he was a kind and gentle soul; the only time I ever heard him raise his voice was in laughter. I'm sorry I lost touch with him but will cherish my fond memories and lift up in prayer the family who holds him close.

I'm really sad that Walter is gone and have all the extended Henderson family in my thoughts. I wish I could be there for the service. I'll be thinking about the old neighborhood and Walter's kind and wonderful presence in it.

Jane,
Lee and I are so sorry to hear about your loss. We will miss seeing Walter working in the yard. Take care and please let us know when you need help.
