Not sure what to say?

Coach Hilton, great mentor and all time favorite teacher at Col-View. Football ,basketball and english mentor he was. Even after I graduated from school we kept in touch. That's the kind of guy Mr. Hilton was and will always be to me. R.I.P. MY friend, Rob Cosby 73'-74'

I have nothing but positive memories of Mr. Hilton. I will think about his legacy this while I am skiing Mt. Hood. My condolences to the family.

Coach Hilton was my high school JV basketball coach - I grew so much in skills and confidence in that one year - we learned, we laughed, I cried and he nicknamed me Screamer. My memories of that time are so much bigger than one high basketball school season! Rest in Peace, Coach

Mr. Hilton was my absolute all time favorite and most memorable teacher throughout all of my education. 6th grade at Shaver. I still think of him often as "Mr. Hilton" is the answer to one of my online security questions. May he Rest In Peace .

Jerry was one of my favorite teachers and later a colleague who always gave me good advice early in my career. Rest in peace, you will be missed by many.

When I worked at HB Lee Middle School as the Vice Principal for George Swart, Jerry was on of our veteran Language Arts teachers. I always appreciated Jerry´s calm, quiet, consistent and thoughtful demeanor. He was a positive and effective part of out teaching team, as well as a steady and positive influence on students, all of whom seemed to like "Mr. Hilton." I will miss Jerry and his low key but always interesting perspective on life. RIP, my friend-I will catch up with you down the...

Jerry always had the ability to see the “bigger picture.” A good man.

Jerry was a mentor when I started teaching at Columbia View. We coached 7th grade football together and later at RHS we chaperoned the ski club to ski bowl several years. I will remember him when I pass Government camp. Condolences to Julie, Jen and Mark. Gary Erdahl

RIP Jerry. Always enjoyed your friendship & insight/conversation as a student/pupil (inc. ski club &library asst.) and as a friend when running into you off and on later in life. I used to cruise thru the library just to say hi or share a knowing smile/wink at times. Thoughts with the family (Mark, Julie, & Jen), Cheers
