Mr Holmes (Walter, as I called him) and I shared many conversations after school when we worked at Sojourner Truth. We remembered the music of our youth, and the times we experienced during those years. We laughed together and got the weight off our chests some days. He was proud of his service to our country, and would tell me of his experiences. Truly a good soul. It is my hope that his spirit is light and free to rise!
