Not sure what to say?

To The Johnson Family,

I just visited Long Island this weekend and ran into Mrs. Maher. I asked how my old baseball coach was doing and she told me the sad news. I just wanted to say that Coach Johnson was an awesome baseball coach and very influencial on me during those two years that he coached me on the Tigers. I appreciate all of the time that he spent with me teaching me about the game. I plan on bringing the baseball lessons and his positive attitude to the field with me as...

I was away in the Keys checking the Earnest Hemmingway contest and Walter would have won it hands down. When I got home one of my friends said Walter passed away I was very saddened to here that my prays are with you. Condolences Susan Dennis Belford

Dear Marianna

I was so deeply saddened to hear of Walter's passing. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to see him again at the 40th High School reunion and still see the twinkle in his eys. I remember him being a stinker at times, but at least he was a "fun" stinker. Those were wonderful memories and I will continue to cherish them. May you and the children be comforted with wonderful memories as well.

Marianne,
We were both very sadden, and grieved to learn about Walter. We will always remember his smile and very enjoyable time we had with both of you at Bobby's birthday party. May he rest in eternal peace knowing he left the world a little better, then when he entered it. May God help you and your loving family through these very difficult times

To The Johnson Family,
We are so saddened to hear about Walt. We have been going to Karp's since the kids were small always receiving a lollipop on each visit. No longer do they get lollipops since they're both over 21. We'll miss seeing Walt behind the counter with his warm smile and NY Jets jersey anticipating the next big win! May he rest in peace. Sincerely The Culkin Family of East Islip, New York

I am so very saddened to hear about Walter's passing. Through grammar and high school I always knew Walter to be a sweet and thoughtful person. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

So sorry for the loss of Walter. My thoughts & prayers are there for him and his entire family. May he rest in peace.

To the Johnson Family, I am so sorry for your loss. My mother Dori Moritz (ludwigsen) and father Charley used to bring us into the store all the time and every time we were there he would give us lollipops and big hugs! He always made me smile, even now at 36 years old I got a lollipop when I came in to get something! May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. He will always be with you!

Dear Johnson Family and Friends,
The last time I saw Walter was at our 40th H.S. Reunion, he cut in on my wife and I as we were dancing, but he didn't dance with my wife - he danced with me! And that tells the tale of Walter: always ready to enjoy Life and a good Laugh - while being firmly entrenched in the High Values of and for: Family, Friends, and Community.
Rest in Peace Good Human Being.
