Not sure what to say?

David, Dougie, Wally, Andy - Justine told me of your call. So sad to hear of your dad's passing. Although the years parted us, I will never forget my only brother-in-law, your mom and you four nephews. I wish you the best this world has to offer - miss you - reminisce often as I gather up my old photos and have another look. Glad I had the opportunity to talk to Walter not too long ago and the chance to bring him up-to-date with the McCarthy clan up north. Would love to hear from you. ...

Walter was our next door neighbor and good friend these past 20 years. We only heard of his passing on Saturday, Sept. 22nd, as the people who bought our home at 151 Stetson Road called to tell us. We recently moved to Cape Cod last April. Walt was a dear man who befriended not only us and our three daughters but also our dog, Colby. He was a great source of Norwell history and neighborhood history for us 'Church hillers'. Always kind and always a good word to say, we were very saddened to...

I didn't know him, but if was half the man his son Walter is, he was a great individual. Eternal rest grant unto him...

Marc Wieman & Family

Wally, Doug, David & Andrew:
Our sincerest sympathies to all of you. We have so many fond memories of the good old days; fireworks, riding in the 18 wheeler, gliding across your yard on a rope & pulley that your Dad put together etc. May all your memories help you through this time.

The Family of Walter
We were glad to meet your dad in the South Shore Hospital-Emerson 3. My husband, Tom Meehan, shared the room with your dad until he was discharged. We were very glad to have known him--a very interesting and NICE man.
We are very sorry for your loss.

Dear Keenan family:
I am Barry, Jr. I was fortunate enough to meet Walter back in 1996. He was a very nice man. He was always interested in what I was doing and how I was doing. I am saddend that my son and family will not be able to meet him. I remember my folks telling me how "tickled" Walter was to know that we named our son Jacob KEENAN Street.

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers!

Barry (Jr.), Amy, Jacob Keenan, and Madelyn Street

Doug, Wally, Andy, & David

You are in our thoughts and prayers. May your memories comfort you and bring you peace.

With Love,

My sincerest sympathies to the Keenan Brothers, Mr. Keenan was a surragate father to me growing up on Stetson Rd in Norwell for many years, he will be dearly missed. I will always hold many memories of Mr. Keenan and Family.

Family and Friends of Walter:

Walter was a fixture in my life growing up in a boatyard -- adding experience, tales, comment and infinite patience with "youngsters" wrestling with mature boats and their their foibles.

Walter freely shared his vast knowledge and appreciation for small craft with many an immpressionable pupil -- I am grateful for his warmth, kindness, generosity and friendship. The Massachusetts coastal community and working waterfront have lost a great friend. ...
