Not sure what to say?

So many of the "ole timers" that Bill and I met when we moved into Barnegat Beach 12 yrs ago have gone to a better home. My memories of Barney are primarily associated with the Club: 1st contact: eating his scrambled eggs at the monthly breakfast and the final one: opening the clams at this past 4th of July picnic. What a trooper!!! You will be missed. My condolences to the family, but, don't be sad because Barney lived a full and wonderful life and was loved by all in Barnegat Beach.

Barney, you will be missed. Our talks about your son and his kidney transplant in our kitchen, your friendly smile, you checking up on my son when he was working in the neighborhood and checking on Larry when he was doing the electric at the marina. You have been a true friend and great neighbor to so many of us. Rest in peace.

Barney was a good friend, I remember him buying a chimney screen and having it installed so Dan wouldn't go on the roof, We didn't know it blew off.
Barney and Dan worked well together in the kitchen, maybe now they can cook in heaven.Barney would stop in my office every few months and fill me in on Barnegat beach. He will be missed by many. My prayers are with his family.

Barney we will miss you in our neighborhood,we always would refer to you as Barney Patrol as you would drive around keeping a close eye on everything...then you would walk until tired and sit under the famous tree at our marina...which my husband and I named The Barney Tree....clams will never taste the same...we're so glad you we're a part of our lives...we will miss you...your friends and neighbors...ron & judy hickerson Waretown NJ

Barney will be remembered by Ken and I for the heater he gave us for our "new garage". He was excited that it would be put to good use, and that was some fifteen years ago. We could always depend on him to watch over the neighborhood.
He also did a great job with the BBCA breakfasts. Goodbye for now neighbor.

Barney we will surely miss your presence here in Barnegat Beach. It was always a comfort to know you were watching over our community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family. You may be gone but you certainly won't be forgotten. You are in our prayers.

Barney, I hope that you and my grandparents (your old friends and next-door neighbors) are having the mother of all clambakes in Heaven! Thanks so much for your service to our Nation, and for all your help when I was caring for my grandfather. Rest well!

We will miss seeing Barney on his walks. The boys will miss visiting with him each time we walked past his house. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My thoughts and prayer go out to his family and friends. Toni Angus ( Waretown)
