Dear Lucas,
I read about your father's death in Greenwich Time. My sincere condolences to you and your extended family.
He sounds like the type of person that is sitting right next to my mother, causing a stir and making lots of friends.
I see you have settled in the Denver area....I always wondered where life took you. Can it really be 31 years??

Lucas and Candice, we are so sorry for your loss, and we send warm hugs and love to you, the boys and Emma. Mark and I met Bud some 19 years ago in Connecticut when we were just married. Bud had always struck us as a smart, funny and humble man, and we feel that through you, we have a special bond with him and Emma. We will miss him very much, and we know that he will tell some nice jokes up in heaven.

KingBud, I repectfully disagree that all of the information you accumulated after 82 years is now useless. You passed some of it on to me and I continue to make use of some of it every trading day. And I use some of the other information you gave me all the time. Thank you for taking the time to share a little of your life with me.

We loved Uncle Bud. He walked me down the aisle 38 years ago! I will always remember that day and thank him for being there for me.

Lucas and Candice. We only met Bud one time and I believe it was when you two were married in Denver (or like all of us over 65 we've had a senior moment) and only your mom was there. But Lucas, based on the stories you told me, your dad was a great guy. Jeanne and I will say a prayer for him and hope he is still "trading" in heaven.

My Uncle Walter was one of a kind. Always with a smile, always with a good story, always with a great cocktail. My childhood memories are richer due to him.

Oh Emma, I heard today of your sad sad loss and my heart bleeds for you and Walt, Anne and Lucas. What wonderful times we had in Greenwich together. To me you were the ideal family, such fun, such laughter, such warmth - the very best. Bud was the figurehead, a real southern gentleman whom I thought the world of and it is hard to imagine he is no longer there. Lots of love dianne (carnegie)
