Walt and I met at the Personnel Office of the Defense Mapping Agency Hydrographic Center (DMAHTC) on our first day of work in January 1975. We were waiting to go to our individual offices. We struck up a conversation and I immediately knew he was an all-time nice guy. That opinion has lasted throughout the years. I'm sure that opinion will carry on to his next destination.

My prayers to Joe and Walt's family. Good friend and teammate. So sorry to hear of his passing, really proud of Walt and all his accomplishments.

Walt was a serious person even in high school. Good teammate. He had a plan and with Marilyn had a great life. Walt was a generous and forgiving conversationalist. Good guy,I´m sure he´ll be missed

Too Marilyn & Walters family & friends. I know that I need not have to remind any one of you, how blessed you all have been to have Walter as a Husband, Father, Sibling & friend. Hopefully the love that you shared with Walter is the very fuel, that will give all of you the strength to carry on in due time.

Marilyn and family, I am so sorry to hear of Walt's passing. I remember the days back in Suitland when we first met. Walt was an easy person to have as a friend. Usually his broad smile accompanied him into the room followed by his booming voice. Fair Winds and Following Seas, Walt. You will be missed.

He was a true professional and it´s an honor to have known and worked with him at NGA and its predecessor agencies - all the way back to our DMAHC days. I will be keeping you all in my prayers.
