Not sure what to say?

I only recently learned of Walter's passing. Few people have influenced my life as much as he did during the one year when I was his student. We carried on a written correspondence for some time after. I finally did get to visit with Walter and Paula in the mid-2000s, before his illness. I remain grateful for that experience, even more so now that replication is impossible. I am terribly saddened by Walter's death, Paula, and cannot find more meaningful words than that to express my feelings....

The world was a better place with Walter's presence. RIP my friend.

Another baseball season has ended with your 2 favorite teams playing...red Sox/dodgers. It doesn't mean as much without your knowledge, insight, stories and love of the game. Baseball is the one thing we could always talk about and you are greatly missed. Love ya...adam

You will forever be in my heart. Blessings sweet Walter.

What a wonderful teacher, director and kind man. I truly enjoyed all of my classes with him but most especially our work on drama productions at Hull High.

One of my favorite teachers at Hull High School. RIP Mr. Labonte.

Mr. Labonte was the most innovative teacher at Hull High. I always looked forward to his class as he made learning so interesting and fun. The class was always over too soon for my liking. Rest well Mr. Labonte. You'll always be remembered.

My favorite teacher at Hull High...pushed me to be the best I could be and work harder than I thought I could....condolences to his family and friends, may he rest in peace.....

He was a great teacher. Rest easy Mr. Labonte
