PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP
Walter P. "Buddy" Lambert, Jr., 77, of Plainfield Township, PA, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at his residence. He was the husband of Patricia Ann (Wray) Lambert; together they celebrated 54 years of marriage on Dec. 19, 2018.
Born in Bangor, PA, on April 22, 1941, he was the son of the late Walter P. and Arraillia (Siegfried) Lambert, Sr.
Buddy was a 1959 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and served in the US Army from 1961 to 1964, where he served in the Military Police and as a sentry dog handler. In the 1960's, he was a police officer and borough treasurer for Pen Argyl Borough.
He was employed by the former Pen Argyl National Bank for 17 years and was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church, Pen Argyl.
Buddy enjoyed hunting at Jbirds camp and golfing with his best friend. He was a devoted family man whose most enjoyable time was spent with his wife, children and precious grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by a son, Jeffrey C. Lambert and his wife, Kristin, of Washington Township; a daughter, Kelly L. DeBoer and her companion, Jonathan Lock, of Bangor, PA; six grandchildren, Gavin, Garrett and Carter DeBoer, and Ashley, Alyssa and Jack Lambert, two step grandchildren, Hannah and Gaven Mort; a sister, Cordelia Burch of Snohomish, WA; a sister-in-law, Joyce Lambert of Plainfield Township and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Victoria Houck, and a brother, Donald E. Lambert.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 at 12 noon at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, www.ruggierofuneralhome.com, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl, PA. The family will receive family and friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the NRA, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030 or Faith United Presbyterian Church, 218 W. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl, PA 18072.

So sorry to hear of Buddy's passing. My sympathy to all his family. He was my classmate and we had a chance meeting at Lakland AF base in 1961 while he was in K9 training. We were good friends in High School.
