AUBURN < Walter "Doc" Elliott Lauderdale IV, 89, of Bluefield Manor, Auburn, who died on Sept. 13, 2008, will be remembered at a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, in Willard Chapel, 17 Nelson St., Auburn. The Shakelton Funeral Home, Aurora, is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Although I had not seen Doc for many years, I still hold the fondest of memories of my time working with him at the old Auburn Savings Bank. He was a truly wonderful man.
