Not sure what to say?

I miss him, the few memories I have, are him in his chair in the living room with a glass next to him and a look on his face (while he was likely watching a fight) that said 'do not talk to me' not in a terrible way, more of a 'get out of the way' look

I love reading the entries that people have written about dad.I know he will be dearly missed. I will miss his advise (which he always had), I will miss him sitting at the kitchen table while we cook chicken dinner. Everytime I see a sports show I will think of him and his love for sports. He was a great dad and person. We will all miss him terribly.

As a small child from the city I loved to go to the country at Uncle Walts house. When I was five years old he showed me how to milk a cow, he put my hands right on those udders ! I remember riding and grooming horses, eating fresh string beans, and homemade pies. Thanks Uncle Walt for showing this city girl how to appreciate the country life. You made an impression in my life.

I have learned so much about our dad just in listening to others that have written or spoke about him. Thank you to all of you who have participated in these writings as well as at his service. Dad will be missed by many but always in our memories and thoughts.

Uncle Walt,What an intelligent person he was. While listening to him talk to other people in conversation I was always in a comfortable feeling being around him. When he talked, the sound of his voice would make you want to listen. I was truly amazed how deep he could go in a conversation in expressing his opinion or knowledge on whatever the subject was. After the topic of conversation was over with, I would always have the same kind of response of "Wow"-this guy is smart and has a strong...

I shall miss talking to my little brother. He was his own man with stong opinions but so compassionate. He had a remarkable recall of so many facts, it was unbelievable.
He was with his parents daily when they became ill & up until their death. He had so much love & devotion for them.
He really put up a valiant fight for the cancer but it became too agressive for him.
He beleved in prayer & now he is no longer in pain & in a better place.
I loved him so. Sister Beverly

My Uncle Walt always reminded me of my own Mother. They were alike in looks as well as stubbornness and spontaneity. I especially appreciated their "Free Spirit" attitude towards life.

Walt was always friendly and caring towards his nieces and nephews. I always enjoyed visiting with him and discussing anything from family to sports to (ouch) politics! He always had an inside scoop to almost every story which made talking with him fun and interesting.

As he lived...

My grandfather was so proud of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. I will miss him dearly and I hope to continue to make him proud. Love, Mary Rae

First impression of Mr. Lawson was that he was a very warm human being.
