I worked for Walt in 1979. We made doors and other furniture. Walt was amazing with the carving and I learned a lot from him. The tools we used were awesome and had been around for longer than I. We made some doors for a church up in the hills, which I am still trying to find. Walt was great to work for: patient, understanding, forgiving, honest and a real artist. Thank you, Walt. I built a beautiful home at 6060 Mina Vista. I went to Walter Lewis to make my doors and the architect are drawn standard doors. Walt sad do you really like these? I said I hadn´t thought about it. he said what doors do you like ? I went out to the car I had my book at the Mexican House Old and New in the seat!. I Was building Spanish colonial revival home.
