The first time I met Walt, he gave me a big hug and said, "Welcome to the family." It meant just as much to me then as it does today. I'm going to miss his big smiles, warm hugs, and generous nature. I'm very thankful to Walt for leading by example to his son how to be a loving and strong family man. We in turn will share these qualities with my son so that Walt's legacy of kindness and thinking of others will live on. We love you so much Walt.

I always looked forward to seeing Walter every Sunday. We talked a lot about fishing. He had an infectious spirit and I know we are all better for having known him and the example he set for living well. Rest in peace my dear friend.

There has never been a kinder. more jovial full-of-life gentleman. I am very proud to have called him my friend for 11 years singing with him at St. Andrew UMC in Plano. He blessed my life so much and I am a better person because of Walt. He will be dearly missed in our choir but he will always be there with us in spirit. Choir just won't be the same not sitting by Walt!

We will miss his positive jovial attitude, great smile and never ending stories. Walter was a good friend, and will be missed on hunting and fishing trips and at dinner parties. We send our condolences to Louise and his entire family.
