Read MoreI was sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Lucas. He was my dentist for many, many years. He, Vickie (dental tech), and I got a laugh when an injection numbed the nerve to my eye and I couldn't blink until the meds started to wear away. He made an emergency call to his office on a Labor Day weekend night because of my abcessed tooth. He was a special person.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. What an amazing man your husband/father/grandfather was! He always made us feel so welcome in his home throughout our teen years and into adulthood. The Lucas family is so special to us. Our father loved him as his dentist and his friend. They are probably now discussing the joys of raising their children in "Shuffletown" and renewing that friendship that started so many years ago. Love to you all!
